Hi all...

This Friday night sees us hitting the Caba Pub for a fun night.
We have local personality Steve "Ashy" Ashburn spinning the discs as DJ for the night

This is our first local show since our US Tour and also The Dreaming Festival in Woodford on the long weekend so come along and say hi and find out about our trip in the US.

Plans are well underway for our return tour to the US in September. This time, as well as the Mid West and West Coast, we will be playing venues from the Mid West through to the East Coast. We will be returning to most of the colleges from our April Tour so hopefully we will meet up with all the friends we made then.

Hi all...
Well we are 1 month down already in 2009 and it has been a busy start for the Max Judo lads.
The Woodford folk festival was a success and for all who got their hands on the special pre release album "GOOD TONIGHT"...hopefully you are all blaring the cd in your cars, iPods or whatever you play ya music through, ha ha.
On the local front, the shows throughout January were big to say the least so cheers to everyone who made it out. Currently we are working hard on a set release date for the album locally and nationally and a cd launch should be confirmed in the near future. Shows in most capital cities are all on the cards so we'll keep you posted.
March is shaping up to be a cracker with shows at the NOOSA FESTIVAL OF SURFING and THE MALFUNCTION SURF FESTIVAL as well as support shows with popular NZ outfit "KORA" and our first show in Murwillumbah has just been confirmed which we are looking forward to.

Max Judo's New Album Update + New Video in MJ Video Section...

Well recording has got underway down at Studio 301 Byron Bay and things are on well on track. We are now about half way through and things are starting to come together nicely.

Studio 301 not only offers top of the line recording facilities it also has been the venue for intense daily table tennis battles which have been fierce to say the least and the early morning surfs have been fun but cold!
Our producer, Caleb James has been on fire and his table tennis ability is second to none. Both Lucas and Caleb have played some tight games(in downtime) with Caleb winning on most occasions but Lucas is hot on his trail. The rally record also stand with Caleb and Marty with a whopping 53 hit rally! Must've been all the studying of table tennis video's on you tube!

The new album will be recorded over the next month so keep a eye out for more updates including studio picture gallery and announcement of Album Launch.

The pic's shown were taken by Caleb and show some of the cool effects that were used for the Album that were complied from Marty and Caleb's effect collections (General consensus is that AnalogMan Rocks and ZVex Fuzz Factory is the gear!!!). Brendan is shown with one of the 5 Drum Kits supplied by our mate ChickenHead (aka Greg)

We have also added a new video that was shot by our "Man on the Ground" Stu and edited by our good mate Joseph (Thanks a $mil mate!!!)
It was taken from our Anzac Day Eve 2008 gig at The Salt Bar and if you were there on the night you should catch a glimpse of yourself.

Tom Curren Tour

Well the shows with Tom Curren were fantastic and we hope everyone had a great time. Brendan did a fantastic job sitting in as Tom's drummer without ever hearing any of his tunes. We had a ball playing music along side one of our surfing idols and we hope to catch up with him for shows in the US later in the year.
We have around 500 pics from the shows taken by our great mate Simon "Swilly" Williams so check them out in the next few days.

Hope everyone has a great and safe Easter and hope to see you all at The Sand Bar and Grill at Casuarina Beach Easter Sunday afternoon...

Max Judo Signs to Auburn Moon Agency for NACA

We are currently organising our second tour to the US in early February. We are set to play at the college showcase event "NACA" in St Louis Missouri. Being 1 of only 2 Aussie artists selected for the event, it involves the us performing in front of University reps from all over the country with the prospect of bookings for 30-50 shows at colleges across the US later in 2008.
The temperatures in February, we're told, is 4 degrees maximum and -7 degrees minimum (Celsius)...great weather for a bunch of lads from sunny Gold/Tweed Coasts. Could this be an outdoor event?!?!?
Stay tuned for more info coming soon.
